A Time for Hand-Written Notes

Now more than ever, it’s necessary to follow up. And nothing says “remember me” more than a hand-written note. I like hand-written notes because they echo you, your company, your brand. To that potential client, strategic partner or referral source, personal notes set you apart from others. When is the last time you received a hand-written note from someone?
I send hand-written thank-you notes to everyone I meet. I do that using a “virtual assistant” — a service called YourCoolCards.com — that’s able to send out one, or thousands, of cards, in my handwriting, with just a few clicks. When CoolCards.com sends someone a note, you encourage the lucky receiver to communicate with you, building an enduring relationship with that person or business.
Hand-written correspondence is a wonderful way to build your brand, acquiring new customers and partners, and keeping the business you have. Do you know that 68% of customers leave because of a perceived indifference? People want to be appreciated. These cards remind them of you and your thoughtfulness, long after they receive it.
I’m all about love. Let your relationships know how special they are.

Lori, I still have some of the hand-written notes I’ve received from customers & colleagues over the years. To this day, even w/ the advent of virtual assistants, I continue to leave hand-written notes at the top of some business letters and send personalized notes following paid engagements or prospecting calls. I agree with you that it leaves a lasting impression long after they receive it…

Lori,
What a grand idea? While reading this post I immediately thought of a few people who would love these hand written notes. Thanks!
